Canada’s Minister of International Trade Diversification Jim Carr announced Canada’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE on January 25th, 2019. Dubai is the first city in history to host a world’s fair in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. The UAE is a global hub for 3.2 billion people with a collective GDP of $60 trillion in emerging markets in these regions. It is a progressive country of forward-thinking cities that champions women’s rights. Canadian businesses, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), can access procurement opportunities here. Visit the Expo 2020 Dubai website for more information about the event.
